A tractor-trailer driver was cited after the truck he was in was involved in a fiery crash that caused traffic tie-ups Tuesday morning.
The truck flipped over near Exit 15 at about 4:30 a.m. and went up in flames, according to NBC Connecticut.
The driver, Dominique Jenkins of Pennsylvania, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Sundwall said. The driver was able to escape the vehicle with the help of passing motorists.
Wallingford firefighters responded to battle the flames after a tractor-trailer crashed, rolled over and caught fire early Tuesday on Interstate 91.

NBC reports the right and center lanes were closed for hours as crews cleaned up fuel that spilled and investigated the crash.
Jenkins was given a ticket for failure to maintain an established lane, state police said.
