English Premier League last season runners-up Arsenal are keen on signing Everton and Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Romelu Lukaku's agent, Mino Raiola, has indicated that his client could remain at Everton despite the Belgium international's attempts to force a transfer away.

Lukaku, who is now competing at Euro 2016 with Belgium, scored 25 goals in 46 games for Everton last season.

"Everton don't need money anymore", he told Sportwereld.

"But as the Italian landscape now looks, there's no team that can afford Romelu". He is too expensive for Serie A. "The top clubs in England, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris St Germain and, of course, Bayern Munich".

"Something's changed at Everton: there's a new project".

Raiola thinks that no Italian club now has the resources required to purchase the ex-Anderlecht player, but also suggested that Everton would do everything they can to avoid a sale.

Lukaku's place in the team had been questioned by some following the 2-0 defeat to Italy in Belgium's tournament opener, yet Chelsea attacker Hazard insists his compatriot never let any criticism affect him.

Reports are now rife that Lukaku has emerged as a target as he looks to move his career on to the next level by playing Champions League football next season.

"Their duty is to concentrate on it".
