"Pokemon Go" is available now for Android and iOS. Despite region-locking setbacks like this, the game has been a massive hit worldwide, earning Niantic over $14,000,000 before the game has even hit every region.
After just a week of availability, the game already has more daily active users than decade-old social network Twitter, and nearly as many as Snapchat and Google Maps.
John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic, the company behind Pokemon Go, explained that while they thought the game would be popular, they didn't anticipate this level of interest.
There have been reports of armed robbers using the game to lure players into isolated locations, as well as a warning that paedophiles could potentially summon children to quiet places.
He told GameSpot; "My personal fantasy is like a Game of Thrones game where Westeros is mapped out on Earth and you join House Stark or whatever".
Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS. The game, which uses smartphones' Global Positioning System and camera, allows users to capture the virtual creatures aka Pokemons, which are hovering throughout the real world.
Released just a few days ago, Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm, bringing in at least $14 million in revenue and already on its way to becoming the social media craze.
Thirdly, the users can meet an accident while they are indulged in gaming.
"While the game can be a blast and people are exercising because they have to get up and walk to look for a Pokémon, many concerns have arisen", the BBB said in news release.
Maddening if you're not playing, but for those who have been waiting for the game, it is great news.
"Pokemon GO" has successfully merged real-life and virtual Pokemon experience.
