Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger to become father for 8th time

The Rolling Stones frontman will celebrate his 73rd birthday on July 26.

Sir Mick Jagger, 72 years young, will soon welcome his eighth child.

The Rolling Stones rocker - who already has seven children from previous relationships - will welcome his eighth child with 29-year-old ballerina Melanie Hamrick.

Hamrick previously performed with the American Ballet Theatre in NY and started dating the English singer in 2014, the report said.

He has five grandchildren, and became a great-grandfather in 2014, when Jade's daughter Assisi welcomed a daughter. He's been incredibly supportive, a source told The Sun. Bandmate Ronnie Wood, 68, had twin girls with wife Sally Humphreys two months ago.

A spokesman for Mick confirmed the news, saying: "This is great news".

"She knows what a great relationship Mick has with all of his children and can't wait for him to be a dad again".

The couple's unborn child could inherit performing arts talent from both parents: Hamrick, 29, is a dedicated and accomplished ballerina who is a company dancer with the prestigious American Ballet Theater in NY.

The Rolling Stones wrap up their Zip Code tour on Friday in Quebec City and will return on tour in October, with three concerts scheduled thus far: two in Indio, California, and one in Las Vegas.
