The Walking Dead upgrades Negan to series regular for season 7

He is due to return to return in Season 7, and becomes instrumental in the rebellion against Negan.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that AMC has upped Morgan to a series regular for the upcoming seventh season of The Walking Dead.

As if "The Walking Dead" Season 7 needed more hype and thrill, a new report revealed that a major character will be killed off by Negan.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on AMC on October 9.

This suggests he won't be offed by the Survivors in a one or two episode stand-off. TWD producer and writer Scott Gimple talked to Entertainment Weekly about the Season 6 finale kill.Gimple's remarks may have hinted at two deaths. "There's different characters. There's a change of power on the show". Absolutely. Will it be the same thing?

Negan's "heartbreaking" entrance in issue 100 of Robert Kirkman's graphic novel had only involved Glenn's untimely demise, so the double death is sure to shock. That would fit with what Gimple said. Aaron was also included in Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) group whose fate remained uncertain after meeting Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the Season 6 finale. Having "series regular" status doesn't mean a whole lot in terms of who'll survive. Taking out Abraham would be a smart move. The show has traditionally premiered the Sunday of New York Comic Con.

Four characters from The Walking Dead have been confirmed as regulars in Season Seven. The Comic-Con trailer is rumored to focus on the new character and his furry friend.

So far, The Walking Dead casts have been really protective as to who the poor fellow is. Although there has been no confirmation, there is strong evidence that Glenn, the original character who was destined to meet Lucille the bat in the comics, may have been the victim.

We all could have guessed that Negan wasn't going anywhere; it would have been a huge waste to cast Morgan, then only give him 10 minutes of screen time. According to recent rumors, people have spotted scenes being filmed on the set that show Negan walking around with Daryl. Will it be Daryl or Rick? Berkeley plays Gregory, the leader of the Hilltop Colony first seen in season six as a potential trading partner to Alexandria. But before we get to that.
