Tottenham seem set to secure the signing of Vincent Janssen, this after weeks of negotiations and talks that the London club might sign someone else in the current transfer window.

The 22-year-old had always been linked with a move to White Hart Lane after a prolific campaign in 2015/16, and he becomes Spurs' second signing of the summer.

Janssen finished as the Dutch top-flight's leading goal-scorer in the 2015/16 season after a return of 27 goals in 34 games for Alkmaar. Fortunately the club have finally reached an agreement. I will go home and wait for the phone call to go.

Per Dan Kilpatrick of ESPN FC, AZ had given Janssen permission to visit Tottenham last month to discuss personal terms as well as learn of Mauricio Pochettino's plans for the 22-year-old Dutch global.

"I am glad that it is nearly complete".

SkySports.Com report that the Oranje striker will move to Spurs for £18.8 million.

Vincent made his Netherlands debut earlier this year and has five full caps to his name along with three goals, including one against England in a 2-1 win at Wembley in March.

"I think it's incredible that Vincent fought in the second tier and bounced back", Taument added in an interview with Voetbal International. The people I've worked with have been fantastic.

The Netherlands global is expected to put the finishing touches on his move to White Hart Lane, which could be announced later this week. I've had at AZ the best football year of my life.

I go to a great football country, also to the Champions League there.
