A man was found dead with zip-ties around his neck inside his TriBeCa jewelry store, NYPD sources said Thursday.

Police found the body of 43-year-old Omid Gholian, of Brooklyn, at World of Gold N Diamond, a gold exchange shop located in Lower Manhattan, at around 6pm on Wednesday.

Omid Gholian was pronounced dead in the bathroom of 193 Church St., police said. The brother unlocked the front gate to let them in, showing no signs of a forced entry at the store.

A medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death, but police suspect foul play. Authorities began searching for Gholian after his brother reported him missing Monday.

Investigators are working to gain access to a safe inside the business, and do not yet know if anything was stolen.

"It is heartbreaking. He was a good man", customer Maria Gonzalez said.

"I saw him twice this week I was shocked when I heard".

Customers said Gholian's store is not one that anyone could walk into, with visitors having to be buzzed in by someone inside.
