Even the shoes of Jim Parson, the actor who brought the Sheldon Cooper to life in the original show, will be hard to fill in the "The Big Bang Theory" spinoff if anyone can do it, it's Iain Armitage.
Throughout its run, "The Big Bang Theory" had always been making references to Sheldon's childhood - mostly because of his religious mother and his unique, genius traits such as having a good eidetic memory and acquiring a doctorate degree at 16.
A lot of pre-production work has been done for the pilot of "Young Sheldon". The original creators of "The Big Bang Theory", Steven Molaro and Chuck Lorre will also act as the creators of the spinoff that will be a half-hour show, however, CBS has not yet confirmed the number of episodes.
CBS finally answered fans' questions this question when the network ordered the spinoff "Young Sheldon" for its multi-awarded comedy series. Apart from Lorre and Molaro, Parsons and Todd Spiewak are executive producers of the new series. He recently appeared in HBO's "Big Little Lies" with Reese Witherspoon. At this young age, he is already attending high school.
Furthermore, Sheldon's mother, Mary Cooper, is an Evangelical Christian devotee, it will be played by Zoe Perry, who happens to be the real-life daughter of Laurie Metcalf, who plays Sheldon's mother on The Big Bang Theory.
Raegan Revord will be playing Sheldon's fraternal twin sister, Missy; Montana Jordan will portray Sheldon's older brother, George Jr.; and Lance Barber will play Sheldon's father.
Snoop Dogg aims gun at clown dressed as Trump in new video; "Big Bang Theory" gets spinoff about Sheldon's early years; "Beauty and the Beast" shelved in Malaysia despite approval.
Parsons, as the adult Sheldon, will serve as narrator. The renewal has been stalled by the contract negotiaions.
