Evan Blass first tweeted out an image which shows both the Galaxy S8 as well as the Galaxy S8 Plus in various different colors.
Gizmodo will be reporting live from Samsung's event in New York City next week, so stay tuned. Rumors have also confirmed that the smartphone will not kill the 3.5mm audio jack like the iPhone 7 and will also feature USB Type-C for charging and data transfers, along with fast charging.
We already know a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S8 phones, thanks in large part due to recent leaks. The 5.2-inch Galaxy A5 is quite reasonable at a $649 asking price, but the A7 is edging into actual flagship smartphone dollars at $799. The South Korean tech giant has now been hinted to leave behind its conventional physical home button and adopt a newly evolved virtual version of the same in Galaxy S8. The Samsung Galaxy DeX station is expected for 150€. We would be in-fact seeing a bezel-less display on the Samsung Galaxy S8.
In a report by Bloomberg, sources close to the matter have shared that the Samsung Galaxy S8's facial recognition technology can be expected to go beyond protecting the phone from unauthorized use, as its goal will likely be extended to mobile payments.
With this move, Samsung may steadily compete with the likes of Google Assistant and Siri. This would make the Samsung Galaxy S8 into one of the most powerful smartphones on the market, far beyond its rivals such as the LG G6 and the Huawei P10. This is something Samsung sorely needs, given it looks like the camera capabilities don't look to be improved on the forthcoming model, according to the leaks.
The phone would be able to use a variety of sensor to detect the phone's movement and subsequently check whether the user is facing the front camera.
