Gab Marcotti dissects the rumours linking Eden Hazard with a summer move from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma has suggested that he is willing to consider a loan move away from Stamford Bridge next season as he bids to win a World Cup spot with France.

The form of David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill in a defensive three has left Zouma on the sidelines and the prospect of defensive reinforcements in the summer has left the defender questioning his future at the club.

"My aim is to impose myself at Chelsea".

"It will be very interesting, I'm sure Antonio will have a few names up his sleeve that he would like to bring in".

The Frenchman, who joined the Blues in 2014 from Saint-Etienne, has only played eight games for Antonio Conte this term. I am thinking more about the present with the squad, where there is much quality, which gets on well together. Why not. We will see at the end of the season, but I am focused on Chelsea.

The France global centre-back has managed less than 30 minutes of Premier League football this season after sustaining a serious knee injury last term, but is ready to fight for his place in Antonio Conte's plans. I am confident and I know that I will play.

Speaking about the prospect, Vertonghen said, "We're trying to catch Chelsea, but it will be very hard. They look very strong at the moment and you have to be realistic".
