A body was pulled from the lake around 11:15 a.m.

Authorities later recovered two bodies in related incidents.

Cristy Campbell, 32, was discovered drowned in Silver Lake in Glen Carbon, Illinois, where an SUV carrying an infant was found submerged at around 6 a.m. on Thursday, according to the St. Louis-Dispatch.

A fire broke out at her home around 5:15 a.m. Thursday in nearby Glen Carbon, Illinois.

Some of the children ran to a nearby Wal-Mart, others to a home in the neighborhood. One person was killed in the fire, however authorities are not releasing any details about the victim.

The paramedic who has been hailed a hero by local authorities after saving a 3-month-old from a submerged SUV in Silver Lake plans to speak publicly Friday. Anytime children are involved it makes it even more hard.

Madison County Sheriff John Lakin says a motorist called 911 Thursday morning to report a vehicle heading down a hill toward Silver Lake in Highland, Illinois.

Authorities say a man found dead during a southern IL house fire had been shot in the head, and that a gun was found in his ex-wife's SUV after the vehicle plunged into a lake. The infant was rescued and emergency workers performed CPR before the child was flown to St. Louis. "When he saw the vehicle partially submerged, he swam out in the cold water to search for anyone inside". He was revived at the scene by the paramedic. One was recovered from the lake and the other after a house fire.

The 3-month-old was taken to the hospital and is expected to be released sometime Friday.

At 5:31 a.m., a motorist near Silver Lake in Highland, Illinois, saw a auto heading toward the water and called 911. A paramedic found Campbell's 3-month-old son in the auto and saved him. He is expected to be okay.

When Zobrist first went into the 45-degree water for about a 75-foot swim to the drowned auto, he said he didn't know if anyone was inside the vehicle or not. Another person was found dead inside the home, but has not been identified.

About a half-hour later, a vehicle was found in Silver Lake in Highland, Illinois, about 16 miles from the home.
