And now, it looks like the Mi 6 will be arriving in "Plus" form, as a Mi 6 Plus has been spotted (via Playfuldroid) at a Chinese certification site, with model number MDE40.

Like always, Xiaomi is offering its newest flagship in with a very affordable price-tag attached.

Confirming previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is built around a 5.5-inch FHD (1920x1080) resolution screen and comes with four-sided 3D curved glass on the front and back, connected with a high-end stainless steel frame, which, according to Xiaomi, is put through 40 processes to get the ideal polish.

Yep, for less than half of the price of a Galaxy S8, Xiaomi will sell you a phone with a faster 2.45GHz Snapdragon 835, 6GB of RAM (2GB more than the S8), 64GB of storage, and a 3350mAh battery (also more than the S8). This makes the Mi 6 one of the latest handsets to arrive on the market with two rear cameras instead of one, increasing the potential quality of mobile photos. It runs MIUI 8, which is based on Android 7.1 Nougat. As reported by TechCrunch, the Xiaomi Mi6 64 GB variant is tagged at 2499 RMB or about $360; the 128 GB variant is at 2899 RMB or about $420 while the ceramic edition goes at 2999 RMB or about $435.

Prospective Mi 6 buyers in China will have to wait until 28 April for the phone's release. We discovered a smartphone with a neat design, and a technical sheet chanmé. It's also worth pointing out that the new Mi 6 does not get a headphone jack. A 4,500mAh battery is expected to provide fuel for the entire package.

The 5.5-inch Mi6 includes a 12-megapixel dual rear camera which features a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens.

The device is expected to come in a bit larger display of 5.7-inches with FHD resolution of 1920X1080 pixels.

There's also optical image stabilization and 4K video recording. At a time when camera performance is paramount to a smartphone's value proposition, it appears as though the Mi 6 is a serious contender. The Mi 6 does, however, boast stereo speakers, Qualcomm's Sense ID fingerprint authentication with the fingerprint scanner embedded under the display, and a USB-Type C port.

As for the listed specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 would simply be awesome provided the details are true.
