Add another game to the list of titles people were hoping to see and won't be at E3.
Oh Beyond Good & Evil 2; it seems like forever since we first met, in a dingy Parisian theatre back in 2008.
There are so many players waiting for news on Beyond Good & Evil 2, the second installment in the series of Ubisoft that debuted back in 2003. In response to a follower's query on the E3 status of Beyond Good and Evil 2, Ancel replied,"Mhhh, not sure that E3 would be the best place to showcase Bg&e2".
Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been anticipated by fans of the original game for many years now, and after the long wait we know that the sequel is finally in the works. Since then, the studio has kept much of the game's details secret. After revealing that development had moved to the as-yet-unannounced next-gen consoles (what would become the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) in 2011, Ancel said in 2012 that the game had entered "active" development for those consoles.
But previous year the game's likelihood of ever seeing the light of day finally seemed to get as serious as it had been since 2008.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 is now in production, but lacks an actual release date. With the studio working with creator Michel Ancel who is now splitting his time working on this and out of his own studio on exploration game Wild.
