Addressing the nation on completion of three years of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre at a rally here at Khanapara, Modi also reaffirmed his pre-poll promise of bringing overground all black money hoarded in the country.

Terming the NDA government's performance as "historic, memorable and untarnished by any kind of scam or corruption", the BJP claimed on Friday that the country recorded all-round progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in the past three years.

"Earlier there was a tradition that Delhi was most important on such occasions", Modi said.

Referring to "Make-in-India", the graphic said that there has been a "giant boost" to investments in electronic manufacturing.

"We will control and find a solution soon", he added.

When asked about his reaction on Indian Army's reward to Major Nitin Leetul Gogoi who saved the lives of security forces, election duty officials by tying a man in front of his jeep as a "shield" to avoid stone pelting in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP leader appreciated and supported the latter's action. Shah said the BJP won most of the elections since 2014. "This means that the economy now has roughly Rs 5 lakh crore cash less than the amount it would have had if note ban had not happened", the report said.

"We have tried to give a new perspective to employment as it is not possible to provide employment to everyone in a country of 125 crore people. We are promoting self-employment and the government has made eight crore people self-employed", he told reporters.

Speaking at length about the governments schemes, Shah gave the slogan of "sath hai, vishwas hai, ho raha vikas hai" (with us, with trust, working for development). Modi government has not done anything in the last three years.

He also said the BJP has virtually eliminated nepotism, casteism and appeasement from politics. "Not a single case of corruption was reported against the Modi government during the past three years unlike the previous Congress regime whose ministers would go to jail nearly every other day", he claimed. "Change doesn't come through tokenism", the PM said, reiterating his aim of doubling farmers' incomes by 2022. "Such violation may be happening even now but India has demonstrated its strong political will to the world with surgical strikes", he said.
