Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is off to a strong start. The Watchers, which debuted all the way back in 1963's Fantastic Four #13, are a race of cosmic entities who have dedicated their existence to observing significant moments in the history of the universe. We've confirmed with Feige that the rights to Uatu himself remain with 20th Century Fox, both studios can use the Watchers as a more general alien species.

Following Galaxy 2, there are a slew of sequels getting ready to hit the screens that includes Alien: Covenant, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Cars 3, Transformers: The Last Knight, Despicable Me 3 and War for the Planet of the Apes.

The film picks up a bit after the events of Guardians of the Galaxy and finds the team of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) solidified as the galaxy-famous "Guardians of the Galaxy", but when a mission goes wrong, they find themselves being hunted by Elizabeth Debicki's Ayesha via Yondu's Ravager team. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
