Ronaldo ready to pay 14.7 mln in Spanish tax fraud case

Spanish authorities accuse Ronaldo of evading 14.7 million euros ($16.5m) in tax and he has been summoned to appear in court next month in Madrid.

As for Mourinho, Manchester United 54-year-old Portuguese coach, he stands accused of two counts of tax fraud while he coached Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013. He is under official investigation and will have to appear in the Pozuelo de Alarcon court No. 1 on July 31.

Mourinho has been accused of defrauding Spain of some $3.7 million by, according to a Spanish prosecutor, using shell companies in the Virgin Islands and Ireland to "hide profits made from image rights".

Real have an extremely strong squad featuring some of the world's standout players, while they played some scintillating football at times last season, creating 522 chances in La Liga.

Madrid said Ronaldo had their "full confidence", a point president Florentino Perez stressed again on Monday.

Irked by the tax evasion case, Ronaldo reportedly feels that the Real Madrid club doesn't protect him the way it should.

In news that will come as a surprise to absolutely fucking no one, Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer unhappy at Real Madrid and wants to remain at the Bernabeu. Cristiano definitely didn't want us to pay his fine. he isn't like that. I can only say that we all have to fulfill our obligations when it comes to taxes. It released a statement saying: "To this date, neither the Spanish tax authorities, nor the public prosecutor has contacted Jose Mourinho or his advisers".

Perez was elected to a fifth term as Madrid's president, extending his time with the club until 2021.

United have been strongly linked with a move for their former forward, but Perez is not thinking about the possibility of Real losing their talisman.

"Jorge Mendes (Ronaldo's agent) told me that Cristiano was angry about how he had treated the media, but we must always look for a solution for everything".

"I still haven't spoken to Cristiano Ronaldo. I have found everything out through the newspapers", Perez said.

'Last year we had a possibility that we didn't take up and now we have no agreement with Manchester United to sign him.

The 4-time Ballon d'Or victor was linked with a return to Manchester United, while moves to Paris Saint-Germain and other cash-rich clubs were also speculated.
