A post by Square Enix's Sam Hsieh on Playstation Blog also details two new characters in the game: Sherra and Obaro.
LOST SPHEAR expands upon numerous beloved features from the studio's debut title, I AM SETSUNA™, and continues Tokyo RPG Factory's dedication to blending the nostalgia of classic Japanese role-playing games with the latest technology for a new generation of gamers. We were first introduced to Kanata, Locke, Van, and Lumina last month, but it turns out that the tried and true RPG formula of three or four people saving the world isn't quite going to work out when things are fading away.
Sherra is a priestess who uses a traditional bow of similar range to Locke's crossbow.
The second character revealed is Obaro, an elderly man who was restored to existence when Kanata's power were awakened. Contrary to the physical strengths of Kanata and his friends, Obaro specializes in unleashing powerful elemental magic, demolishing large enemy mobs.
Square Enix announced that the powerhouse armour players can acquire in the game is known as the Vulcosuit. We now have an exact release date, and Lost Sphear will be arriving in January for North America. Each piece of armour has its own unique capabilities. The publisher stated that players who pre-order on the PlayStation Store will receive a "Memoirs of the Moon" dynamic PlayStation 4 theme and two music tracks. You can pre-order the console versions of the game from the company's online store. Not a bad price for what could be a very good game.
