So far, 84 patients have tested positive for the disease in the state, with 13 cases reported on Thursday.

According to Health department sources, the number of dengue cases has touched 370 in the state with close to 60 positive cases being reported from Bhadrak district alone. A person undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack succumbed to Swine flu late last night, informed the swine flu nodal office of the hospital.
Officials said steps have also been taken for purchase of necessary equipment, ventilators and other gadgets for proper functioning of special wards for treatment of swine flu patients.
