Akshay Kumar addresses sanitation issues in smaller villages

Barring Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, very few actors get huge releases overseas. This time around the makers of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Toilet -Ek Prem Katha have chose to release in some non conventional countries of different parts of the world. The actor shared a video with lead actress of the film Bhumi Pednekar and it is indeed delivering the message. Akshay's film was supposed to get solo release at box office on Independence Day weekend.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is predicted to be a game changer in the worldwide market as the film readies to be launched in non-traditional global markets as well, such as Japan and Chile.

The Jolly LLB 2 actor clarified that Central Board of Film Certification has ordered three verbal cuts in the film, contrary to reports.

VIP 2 (Lalkar) directed by Soundaryaa Rajinikanth is all set to release on 18th August in North India.

Akshay further adds,"I remember one of the cuts clearly..." Main koi saand hoon kya (you've woken me up thrice...am I a bull?)'. He means the sacred thread, the Brahminical janao. "And we saw no reason for something with such sanctity attached to it being referred to so facetiously", says a source.

Apart from this, some expletives, like Hindi word 'haraami' too have been removed. This campaign is a small, but hopefully impactful contribution from the team of "Toilet: "Ek Prem Katha" towards giving the people in these cities a much needed resource, and making sanitation a part of their conversations in a positive manner".
