Brighton start their EPL campaign with a match they are expected to lose, as Man City come to town in a game of the "haves and have nots".
"The next year I had some offers from overseas and took the step towards Manchester City and had another great year".
"People say in the first news conference we are favourites".
The 21-year-old Frenchman faces stiff competition for one of the two or three places in support of Lukaku, with Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard among Mourinho's other options. "I know it's a big responsibility considering I have become one of the most expensive goalkeepers". But then there was in 2008 when we were a League One side, City were newly-crowned the "world´s richest club" already with many star players - and we beat them in the League Cup at our humble Withdean Stadium home.
After qualified success in his maiden campaign as Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho will hope to dust off his tried and tested second-season formula in 2017-18.
"So whatever happens at the start of the season - and of course I hope we get off to a flier - we must stay calm and remember that it´s where we are in the table after 38 games that matters, not the first few".
"He's learning all the time, and I don't think anybody can dispute what a brilliant manager he is", said Hughton of Guardiola. Debates can get heated and that's fine, but offensive words will get you banned.
With Man City spending around £202m on first team players and an astonishing £159m spent exclusively on defenders and goalkeepers, it would appear that Pep Guardiola finally has the right back line and goalie at City.
"Schalke is a great club and I had my professional debut there".
"Everything is good and strong, but some of them (other clubs) are really strong in the market, so it is going to be hard. We are going to see at the end of the season what happens, knowing how hard it is".
"It is not just us".
Although many still believe Pep will continue with his beloved 4-3-3, the additional formation will give City some flexibility next season, and they can use it in big games to use the element of surprise, such as the Manchester Derby. I am backing him to deliver this time around, though.
According to the British media reports, City have spent over 200 million pounds ($259.62 million) on full-backs Benjamin Mendy, Kyle Walker and Danilo, goalkeeper Ederson and midfielder Bernardo Silva.
Both Mendy and Walker are very attacking full backs, which should suit the Guardiola system well this season, as both Mendy and Walker had 5 assists in their respected leagues last season.
