CCTV footage of the attempted raid shows the dramatic struggle.

Police in Arlington, Texas are still seeking two men who tried to rob a store there today.

The second suspect draws a weapon from his trousers and points it at the employees as they wrestle with his accomplice.

The courageous shopkeepers leap on him and bundle him to the floor as he thrashes his arms.

As the armed man jumps the counter, the employees, who were unruffled under gun point, immediately confronted and took the armed man to the ground.

At first they believed the guns were fake.

Officers recovered one of the handguns that'd been dropped. Cops said it was real and fully loaded.

Commenting on the incident, police said: 'We do not recommend that you try and fight off armed robbers. "These clerks got very lucky that they were not shot or killed", a post on the Arlington Police Facebook page says.

Khurrum, who moved to the United States from Pakistan 14 years ago, said he has worked too hard to build his business to let himself be robbed.

"When I saw my son in a fight, I didn't think, I just ran toward the fight to help", Mr Monga said.

Even when the second gunman pointed a gun at them, the father and son continued to push them out of the store. That was by the Grace of God.

He added: "It was all so sudden".
