Spotify's Xbox One features the same user-interface as it's Android TV and PlayStation 4 apps.

The new app, which is available from the Xbox Store from today, features background listening meaning you can soundtrack games with your own personal music taste.

Browse playlists from different genres and moods.

According to information sent to TechRadar, Spotify will be available to download on Xbox One devices in 34 countries around the world starting today and the streaming service will work on the system regardless of whether you are a free or a Premium Spotify user.

The Spotify app can be downloaded from the Xbox Store now, and enables you to play your favourite albums, podcasts and playlists from your Spotify account. On top of that, you can even control your music through your phone (if using L3 or the directional buttons is just too much for you).

Thankfully, it seems relatively easy to change the music while still playing your game.

Select Spotify to choose and play some music. Xbox gamers will get full access to the Spotify catalog, including the ability to use Spotify as a source of background music, with the added bonus of being able to control Spotify for Xbox from the associated mobile and PC apps. You can find the play bar at the bottom of the Xbox menu to skip songs, play/pause, or adjust the volume. For some time now, Xbox gamers have been telling us that they'd like to be able to soundtrack their own gaming sessions using Spotify, to make every single session feel new and unique.
