Keep in mind the company never asks for special payments to restore power and they will not refuse to reconnect service to those impacted by Irma due to a past due bill.

Boca Raton resident Martha Houck isn't certain if the company will make its deadline.

Neighborhoods or streets still without power were scattered through the North End, Midtown and South End, Boodheshwar said.

"They looked at it and they drive off", said Houck, 65.

"A portion of the facility did, in fact, have power, that there was a hospital across the parking lot from this facility and that the nursing home was required to have a permanently installed operational generator", the power company spokesman Richard Beltran told CNN.
