TWITTERBritish Airways terror fears The plane has been held on the tarmac of a Paris airport

Armed police and fire vehicles have reportedly surrounded the Airbus A320 following reports of a "direct threat" while the flight has been evacuated at the Charles De Gaulle airport. We will all be led off the aircraft and baggage searched in due course.

'Additional security checks are being carried out as a precaution.

After about an hour, he said passengers were told the aircraft had to move to another part of the airport and that's when security officers surrounded the plane.

He said: "Everybody's been individually searched by armed officers and given all clear".

Police said a security alert on a British Airways plane in Paris on Sunday (Sept 17) was a false alarm.

Passengers were evacuated from BA flight BA0303 as it waited to take off from Charles de Gaulle airport bound for Heathrow at around 8am United Kingdom time.

'We would never operate a flight unless it is safe to do so'. Now hold luggage being searched by dogs'. Authorities are satisfied with the search.

The flight had been scheduled to land in Heathrow at 7:45am local time, but is now expected at 11:05am.

'The BA pilot was absolutely fantastic in making sure everybody was calm and handling the whole situation'.

A second man was arrested over the terror attack on a London Tube train that left 30 people injured and resulted in an increase in the country's terror threat level from "severe" to "critical", police said on Sunday.

The threat level is now at the highest possible alert, meaning an attack
is "expected imminently".

There have been a number of smaller attacks, while the doomed EgyptAir flight MS804 which crashed into the Mediterranean in May 2016, possibly due to an explosion, also took off from Charles de Gaulle.
