Phil Jagielka admits Everton are struggling without Romelu Lukaku

'I think that was the way.

The Belgium worldwide has made a brilliant start to his Old Trafford career following a £75m switch to Manchester United form Premier League rivals Everton.

Jose Mourinho believes Manchester United signed Romelu Lukaku because they were the only club willing to pay Everton's asking price.

Besides Rooney, two Manchester United players will perform against their former club Everton.

Lukaku's six goals in his first six matches suggest that even the £75m United paid Everton may prove to be a bargain. That power belongs to every club in the Premier League, so the teams are potentially strong.

"I think sometimes the word "legend" is used too easily but that's not this case, he's a real legend in the club", the United manager said during his press conference, which was shared on the club's official Twitter account.

"That power is not just to buy but also to keep and say: "No, we don't sell".

The Belgian forward opened his Champions League account for the season with Manchester United's second goal in a 3-0 win against Swiss side Basel at Old Trafford.

"So it's not just the striker".

"I think, after one year, we are a different team".

Both fit the identikit of mega-rich, big-name players with high-profile agents and Hollywood-style entourages.

"And I think the stadium will show him that respect that he deserves, I hope before the match and after the match, not during the match".

Mourinho refused to enter into any debate as to how Lukaku and Ibrahimovic compare.

"At the team level, I am happy", he said. He doesn't have an entourage of complex dimensions like nowadays you see with some players. "I am not going to do that".
