PSG hit six against Bordeaux to cement top spot in Ligue 1

Neymar and Edinson Cavani brought a resounding end to talk of a rift between them as Paris Saint-Germain romped to a stunning 6-2 victory over Bordeaux at the Parc des Princes.

The pair appeared to argue over a spot kick during last weekend's 2-0 win over Lyon, with speculaion in the press that the two had fallen out.

The day was filled with fantastic goals as the second was a combination of KylianMbappé, Neymar and Edinson Cavani.

Neymar restored PSG's three-goal following Sankhare's score, when Bordeaux midfielder Otavio handled the ball inside his own box and gave the hosts an easy chance to net another.

PSG took just five minutes to get on the scoreboard.

Further to this being a demonstration of might by the Selecao superstar, Neymar wasn't the only PSG forward to impress on Saturday, as the trinity of him, Cavani and Mbappe again showed how slickly they can operate together.

But PSG were guilty of stepping off the gas and Bordeaux took full advantage.

Younousse Sankhare pulled a goal back for Jocelyn Gourvennec's charges ten minutes later with a tap in inside the empty goals after a square pass from Nicolas De Preville, 3-1.

Francois Kamano failed to head on target in a gilt-edged opportunity before Alphonse Areola kept out Malcom, but the visitors were out of the game by half-time.

Neymar curled a fine free-kick and struck a penalty as PSG mercilessly swiped away Bordeaux's unbeaten start to the league campaign. After a great counter by the hosts, Draxler smashed in an audacious volley with his left foot.

When Meunier lashed home a loose ball after Mbappe's mis-hit cross there were only 21 minutes on the clock.

Cavani was warmly applauded as he made way for Angel Di Maria after the hour mark and PSG struggled to threaten in the Uruguayan's absence.

Malcolm converted a penalty in the final minute for Bordeaux after a foul by Meunier on Jonathan Cafu.
