Dwayne Johnson hypes up 'Fast and Furious' spinoff amid controversy

Gibson, 38, posted a video to his Instagram account on Wednesday, October 11, in which Johnson gives a scathing review of his 2015 album, Black Rose.

Tyrese captioned the video "Haters come in many forms". For as much as one recalls that the last part has reported 1.2 billion at the box office. "His new album, Black Rose, I just heard it", he says. "I heard the whole thing in my trailer and I've got to say in all honesty...it's the biggest piece of dog s**t that I have ever heard".

"Everyone is like big piece of dog sh-t". "Not even the hard dried up dog sh*t". It's like baby sh-t. The Fast and the Furious family - the fans, the tribe, the people that's been rocking with us for 16 years - you know, pushing our release date back... it's only happened one time in the history of the Fast and the Furious [franchise], is when we lost our brother, Paul Walker. It's the soft dog sh-t.

While it's unclear if Johnson was joking at the time (he is seen smiling as he walks away from the camera), Gibson hasn't held back in revealing the current issues between the two costars.

Tyrese appears to still be vexed about Dwayne Johnson's "selfish" decision to do a Fast & Furious spinoff at the wrong time. Regardless, Johnson defended his Fast and Furious spinoff movie, saying that all he's wanted to do was to "build out" the series, something that didn't bother franchise leader Vin Diesel, who attempted to ease the tension between his fellow co-stars.

Here's the post in question, with a little bit of footage announcing the release date of July 26th, 2019.

Johnson noted that he has utmost respect for the franchise and his goal for making a spin-off is to generate unbelievable opportunities for his fellow actors and create new content for the fans.

Gibson spoke to TMZ on Tuesday, October 10, explaining the reasoning behind his anger. Ninth pane pushed back, spin-off around the super duo Hobbs-Shaw who seems to materialize, Dwayne Johnson count on the studios to offer us an expanded universe on four wheels. So, you know, I just got a problem with Dwayne; it appears he's being selfish.

The former professional wrestler said he wants to use the spin-off as a platform to create new characters in the "Fast and Furious" universe that fans will be able to enjoy in various platforms and multiple chapters. "The more opportunities we can create the better for the fans", he said.
