'DC's Legends Of Tomorrow': Series Regular To Exit CW Series

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" season 3 may be the final regular season for one of the show's main cast members.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, DC's Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber as Martin Stein, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson/Firestorm, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, and Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Steel. According to the report, Garber is leaving to return to Broadway and headline the Tony award-winning Hello, Dolly! Rumblings about the actor's exit reportedly first surfaced when the show was wrapping its sophomore run. Or will the Legends scoop a younger version of Stein from the timeline to be part of the team? Then the news came in early September that Garber would be going back to Broadway. Garber is set to replace David Hyde Pierce as Horace Vandergelder in the stage play, and his first show is scheduled on January 20 next year. An unconfirmed report has identified someone in the series who appears to be headed out the door. It's hard to imagine him simultaneously working on a primetime network show, which has its own demanding schedule.

Another possibility is to keep using the Victor Garber character, but maybe as time travel is involved, a younger version could be used, which would still enable Victor Garber to return some time down the line. Legends of Tomorrow returned with its season three premiere on Tuesday, and while Garber is listed as a series regular, there's no word how long he'll actually be on the show this season.
