Question of corruption doesn't arise in Jay's company: Amit Shah

Probe if there is evidence, says RSS on Jay Shah row

RSS voice on Jay stands out

"The figure in question is turnover not profit".

"After achieving a turnover of Rs 80 crore, his company suffered a loss of Rs 1.5 crore".

"There is no money laundering involved in Jay's company. There is no question of money laundering", he added. It also stated that firm received an unsecured loan of Rs 15.78 crore from a financial services owned by a relative of a Rajya Sabha MP. "If a company's turnover becomes Rs. 1 crore, its profit does not become Rs. 1 crore. It is unfair to say there was an over 16,000 times jump in profit.say what the turnover was.It makes it seem like the turnover was huge but it wasn't".

However, issuing a statement, Jay has denied all such allegations. Have they ever filed a criminal defamation or a Rs 100 crore civil defamation suit?

"The Wire, a news website, will surely have to explain and answer for the malicious attempt to taint the son of the BJP president and there is surely a clear nexus between Congress and Wire, a joint force to tarnish the image of BJP in the country through indirect means", he alleged.

Hitting out at the Congress, Shah said there had been many allegations of corruption against that party, but noted that it hadn't filed a similar lawsuit. "All the transactions happened through cheques and banks", he said. "Isn't it surprising? And suddenly after a change in the government".

The Congress has demanded an inquiry into the matter, while the BJP called the article defamatory.

"The Congress should seek public apology for bringing the country synonymous with high corruptions during its UPA-1 and UPA-2 rule and painted the country with black paint", he said adding, the BJP's strong leadership has nearly wiped out corruption in the country and there is no single case of corruption against BJP central ministers and leaders in the three years under Narendra Modi.

Attacking the PM, Gandhi tweeted: "Modi, Jai Shah-ate ' exceeds '.Were you the Watchmen or the partner?"
