A Russian Sukhoi Su-24 bomber skidded off the runway during takeoff in Syria on Tuesday, killing the entire crew, the Defense Ministry said, according to TASS. Anwyay, the crew did not eject from the Fencer and died in the accident.

Russian news agencies quoted the ministry as saying the cause could have been technical malfunction.

A Russian Air Force Su-24M2, deployed to Syria, has crashed earlier today near Hmeymim air base, near Latakia.

"On October 10, an Su-24 skidded off the runway and crashed while accelerating to take off for a combat task from Khmeimim Airbase in Syria", the statement said. Initial reports said that the chopper was shot down, but the Defence Ministry subsequently denied those reports.

On Tuesday, the defense ministry said Russian planes are now carrying out 150 strikes per day in eastern Syria against Daesh terrorists.

The tragedy occurred on the basis of Russian military in Syria.
