As the video plays, Aamir says, "Friends this is Shakti Kumaarr's first Youtube video and I am dedicating this to the secret superstar (Zaira Wasim) whom I have launched, presenting to you my new song which I have just recorded yesterday Brand new".
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who will next be seen in the Advait Chandan directorial, "Secret Superstar", has said that this movie is about the youth of today, especially the girls. The film has Aamir Khan playing Mahavir Singh Phogat along with Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar and Aparshakti Khurana.
Aamir said that he doesn't charge an advance fee and only takes a percentage of the profit his films make. I haven't charged a fee for the last ten films.
Aamir Khan's "Dangal" not only set a new benchmark at the domestic box office collections but has minted huge moolahs on the foreign shores too. "I don't understand why is a cameraman's or an editor's work less important than an actor's". He has seen a movie in parts.
"I feel the industry doesn't differentiate on the basis of gender". "Unfortunately, most of the stars in our country are males".
"Now in this team, there are perhaps two of us who will be able to pull people in which the others are not able to, irrespective of whether I am a man or a woman". He comes up with one movie every year or two and that movie becomes the Biggest Blockbuster of the year, it's a fact. That is also a result of our patriarchal society.
As a producer, he said, "It does not matter to me if you are male or female or an animal". Because as kids, whatever stories we have heard, have seen boys as heroes and saviours. "There is no question about it", he said.
Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner name of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, the flick is slated to release on October 19.
