Just when you thought game trailers couldn't get any weirder than the all-singing, all-dancing Japanese promo for Destiny 2, Nintendo has released a musical video ahead of the release of Super Mario Odyssey (see below). It oozes a lot of charm and personality and the usual Nintendo polish that makes it stand apart from other platformers.

Super Mario Odyssey is one of the rare games that has received a flawless 10 score from Edge Magazine.

With two weeks to go until Super Mario Odyssey launches worldwide, EDGE has become the first publication to review the moustachioed hero's globetrotting adventure.

The most recent games that has received a ideal 10 from Edge include Breath of the Wild and Bayonetta 2.

In our Super Mario Odyssey preview, we were equally enthusiastic writing: "If variety is the spice of life, then Super Mario Odyssey is a particularly flavourful feast indeed".

It also shows off some of the new gameplay in Super Mario Odyssey, where Mario can use his cap (which is now a living being called Cappy) to capture enemies, creatures, or objects, and take control of them.

This trailer also does a great job in showing how Mario's feats amaze the people around him, as everyone smiles in Mario's wake.
