ZTE Launches Nubia Z17 Mini S With Dual Camera Setup

Nubia Z17S launched with 5.73-inch bezel-less display, 8GB RAM and four cameras

Chinese smartphone brand ZTE has today launched Nubia Z17S smartphone in China. The volume up-down keys as well as the power/lock buttons are all placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphones and a traditional red circular capacitive home button is situated on the front panel just below the display (for Nubia Z17 miniS model). On the inside, the Z17 miniS is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa-core SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The Nubia Z17S with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is priced at CNY 2,999 (about Rs. 29,617) in China, while the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 39,499). Pre-order is now active but will only go on until the 19th of October at JD.com, the same day it will also go on sale. According to the specifications page, Nubia Z17S has a Sensor IMX362 12MP sensor on the back and a Sony IMX318 sensor which is the 23MP one. Upfront, we have two 5MP lenses with f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup also features 2x optical zoom, Dual Pixel autofocus and company's proprietary NeoVision 7.0 image software package. The device comes with 8GB RAM and is powered by SD835 SoC. The device is equipped with a 3200 mAh Li-ion non-user replaceable battery with fast charging capability via UBS type C port. The Z17S runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the company's Nubia UI on top of it. The handset measures 147.46 x 72.69 x 8.5 mm and weighs 170 grams. It is materialised with a 5.2-inch full-HD display with curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top and this is a LTPS TFT display. The dual camera setup utilizes an RGB and monochrome sensor to deliver better results in low-light conditions. For the selfie enthusiasts, the device offers dual 5 MP cameras with improved selfie features with 1080p video recording capability. It is fueled by 2.45GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 64-bit 10nm processor coupled with the Adreno 540 GPU. It operates on Nubia UI 5.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat.
