In addition to this, the BBC has chosen to pull the actor's upcoming drama series Agatha Christie's Ordeal By Innocence from its Christmas schedule.

The 30-year-old, best known for his role in Gossip Girl, "strenuously denies" allegations that he raped two actresses.

Westwick continues to categorically deny both claims, issuing a new statement in which he called the accusations against him "provably untrue". Filming of the second series of White Gold reportedly started last month.

Filming for Westwick's other BBC project, comedy series White Gold, is now "paused" while the actor deals with allegations of sexual assault that have surfaced this week.

When Cohen said she was exhausted and wanted to leave, Westwick allegedly said she should take a nap in the guest bedroom.

I have absolutely not, and I am cooperating with the authorities so that they can clear my name as soon as possible.

A second woman, former actor Aurélie Wynn, posted on Facebook on Thursday that she was pinned down and raped by Westwick at a home he was renting in Los Angeles in July 2014.

Cohen said the assault took place three years ago and confirmed she filed a police report this week.

But Westwick said their claims are "provably untrue".

"We all hung out until 5am, sun was starting to rise since it was summer so we all chose to get a few hours of shut eye since we all had events and things to do the next day and there are plenty of bedrooms", she wrote.

In response, Westwick said, "I do not know this woman".

"I've since moved on from acting and wanted just to [reinforce] Kristin Cohen's claim as I believe them to be true".

"Telling me that I can't say anything because Ed will have people come after me, destroy me, and that I could forget about an acting career", she wrote.

One day after she published her big reveal on Facebook, Westwick fired back on Twitter by saying that he's never met Cohen. I said I was exhausted and wanted to leave, trying to get out of what was already an uncomfortable situation.
