Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams are leaving Suits

The brunette is expected to marry Harry

Before you could jump to the conclusion that Markle had any hand in Adam's exit, insiders have clarified that the Mike actor was considering quitting the show for a while now. Over the past six years, Adams has not only received a SAG Award nomination for portraying the fake lawyer-turned-real lawyer, but he has also directed four of the show's episodes, including the 100th one, which aired in September.

Deadline also says that Markle's costar, Patrick J. Adams, is considering an exit as well.

Meghan Markle, the actress girlfriend of Prince Harry, will leave the U.S. legal drama Suits when season seven ends, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

There is no word from reps for either Adams or the network. Gina Torres, who left as a series regular after Season 6, has made guest appearances in the current season. The legal drama, which co-stars Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman and Sarah Rafferty, has yet to announce Season 8 but is expected to be renewed.

Suits is the longest-running show on the USA Network and its second-highest-rated overall. After original series cast member Gina Torres left a year ago, she returned in a guest capacity for several episodes. I would never have guessed that she would want to leave early but she did, and it ended up working out. But we can't imagine the show without Harvey and Mike! Us Weekly has confirmed that when season 7 wraps, both she and Patrick J. Abrams will be leaving the show.

Suits is in its seventh season and will return from mid-season break in January.
