Neymar's departure and the appointment of Ernesto Valverde as coach have both contributed to Jordi Alba re-finding his best form this season, the Barcelona defender has told Diario Sport.

He asked the press to stop creating stories that aren't true and claimed he's happy with his current team before appearing to leave the conference in tears.

"'I'm fine, happy, motivated, satisfied and giving everything on the pitch".

There is no doubt about the sensational skill that Neymar brings on the football pitch but his routine on-field antics have fomented a dissent among other senior players at PSG.

"Anyway, there's something that is bothering me a lot - I don't have a problem with Cavani, I don't have a problem with the coach".

He said, "There is nothing bothering me at my club".

"We've been working together for a year and a half now and we've been very loyal to one another", he said.

"I think it is hard because of his past", he told El Larguero.

"I know the importance of my job and I will do everything the coach asks for, but the story is painful to me, they do not know what's going on every day and brag, I do not like the gossip, the fake articles and the stories", he continued. I'm not angry, I'm not p***** off.

Personally, I'm not sure what to believe but I doubt we'll ever see Neymar Jnr in a Barcelona short again in a competitive friendly, how about you?

'I'm a guy who likes to win, I like titles and I went to PSG for this. "I'm happy, I was happy when I left Barcelona and I'm happy now".

Now, Neymar might have been winning games for PSG along with his attacking partners Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani but the mushrooming rumours are certainly not helping his reputation.

'There are a number of circumstances to take into account and we must be careful not to generalise, ' Tite implored.

"He is a great player", Mbappe added.
