Moreover, the company has also launched another budget phone dubbed as Eluga A4 just last week. The Eluga series bespeaks reliability and the latest Eluga I5 is another ideal blend of innovation and elegance.

The Android Nougat version 7.0 will run the device and on the camera front, the Panasonic Eluga I5 will sport a 13MP camera in the rear which has a 5-piece lens, while the front camera will have a 5MP sensor with a 3-piece lens.

On the design front, the phone features an all-metal build which feels sturdy and durable. It powers with octa-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and pairs with 2 GB of RAM.

The Panasonic Eluga I5 is priced at Rs. 8,990.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Panasonic Eluga I5 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a scratch resistant 2.5D curved Asahi DragonTrail glass protection on top. On the front, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel camera which is coupled with a three-piece lens.

For the shutterbugs, the Eluga I5 packs in a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and burst mode which allows for the clicking of multiple pictures at one go.

4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4, FM radio and A-GPS are all the connectivity options available on this Panasonic phone making it a complete suit. Sensors on the Eluga I5 include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a proximity sensor.

To recall, Eluga A4 comes with a massive 5000 mAh fixed battery. It will go on sale via Flipkart in India.

The handset will retail on Flipkart in gold and black colours. However, the online marketplace has not yet started selling the handset, and the listing carries a "coming soon" tag without revealing any details about its launch date and availability in the country.
