Taking place on December 16, a day after the theatrical release of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", "Galactic Nights" is an event that transforms Disney's Hollywood Studios into an interstellar celebration of all things related to the series of films. With over a month still to go until the release of the sequel, you have plenty of time to experience the ride before the movie's release if you can make it to Florida or California. "He's a creative force, and watching him craft The Last Jedi from start to finish was one of the great joys of my career. Rian will do wonderful things with the blank canvas of this new trilogy", said Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.

Disney and Lucasfilm has announced plans for a new trilogy of films that will fall under the Star Wars brand but will be a completely new story, with original characters, set in a different galaxy.

"The Last Jedi" follows Rey's (Daisy Ridley) journey as she discovers new abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who does not realize just how powerful his prodigy really is.

It's all very similar to the crimson Praetorian Guards populating Snoke's super-secret throne room, which is seemingly located on the First Order's Mega Star Destroyer.

Special to this year's proceedings will be an appearance by longtime "Star Wars" actor Warwick Davis, best known for his role as Wicket the Ewok in "Return of the Jedi".

Iger also announced a live-action Star Wars TV series is on the way as well with the launch of Disney's new streaming service.

Scenes from the upcoming Star Wars movie will also be added to the Star Tours attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida.
