UCF moves up to No. 12 in final College Football Playoff rankings

UCF Knights Selected For Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl In Atlanta, Will Face SEC Runner-Up Auburn

The Peach Bowl will be played at 12:30 p.m. on January 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

"You know I think you can kind of see, I know we talked about it earlier in the year, about where our program's at", Malzahn said last week.

The matchup between the two teams will kick off at 12:30 p.m. and will be broadcasted by ESPN.

Last season Auburn lost 35-19 to Oklahoma in the 2017 Sugar Bowl, making the Tigers one of nine schools to be making multiple appearances in a New Year's Six bowl game since the playoff format was adopted in 2014.

Auburn: This is the Tigers sixth trip to the Peach Bowl and first since topping Virginia 43-24 in 2011.

The Knights went 12-0, earning a dramatic 62-55 double overtime victory against Memphis to clinch the American Athletic Conference championship Saturday.

A win by the Tigers in the bowl game will give the program its sixth 11-win season in school history in what will be its first trip to the Peach Bowl since 2011, when Auburn defeated Virginia 43-24 on December 31 in the Georgia Dome. We had the ability to sustain it. now we got to do it, you got to do all the stuff, but we're a lot more stable right now than any other time that I've been here at Auburn.

Malzahn has gone 45-21 in his five seasons at Auburn, including a 25-15 mark in SEC play.

Auburn could return as many as 17 starters next season from a team that won double-digit games and the SEC West title. Frost recently accepted the head coaching vacancy at Nebraska. The Tigers are the first-ever team to defeat two College Football Playoff No. 1-ranked teams in the same season.
