Bungie Will Address Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris' Prometheus Lens Rifle Bug

Destiny 2's Prometheus Lens Exotic pulse rifle is extremely overpowered in PvP, so watch your back

One video in particular that's been making the rounds online (from YouTube user SuperBrunch) highlights the weapon's over-effectiveness as the player takes down 6 players in just 30 seconds using Prometheus Lens.

The new DLC Curse of Osiris for Destiny 2 is now available and it introduces new Character Levels and Power Levels for players to achieve.

In other words, the highest level content in Destiny 2 has been removed from the base game and added to the DLC. As of Tuesday December 5, this trophy is now completely unobtainable for anyone that does not own the Curse of Osiris expansion for Destiny 2, which means that if you didn't get it before then, the Platinum trophy is now not possible without paying extra money. The recommended power level for the game's toughest - and most rewarding - activities has also risen accordingly.

So if you're playing on Destiny 2 without the expansion, you're stuck at 305 Power Level and left out in the cold from the nice 330 endgame content. Now, the Leviathan raid and the Nightfall and Trials of the Nine firestrikes require the player to have a power level of 330 before they can attempt these events.

In addition, the heroic strike playlist, a random playlist of firestrikes previously present in the original Destiny, is only accessible to owners of the Curse of Osiris DLC.

Bungie has yet to make an official statement on the matter.
