Update: Huawei on Tuesday introduced the Honor 7X for the U.S. and European markets at a press event in London. Introduced a year after its predecessor Honor 6X, the new smartphone brings a pretty decent set of specifications for a mid-range smartphone. The Honor 6x is priced now at Rs. 11999 and Rs. 13999 for the two variants, while the Honor 7x is priced aggressively for the 32GB storage variant that comes for Rs. 12999, while the 64GB storage variant costs you Rs. 15999.
The smartphone features a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Honor is planning to release this phone before 2018's halfway point, so stay tuned for updated details regarding its launch. On the front, there is a single 8MP sensor for selfies. There are no stereo speakers or other shenanigans, but at half the price of the 10 Pro, the V10 maybe one of the best value for money phones you will be able to get in the United States next month, when the phone will be released at this side of the pond.
The phone runs on Huawei's home-grown octa-core Kirin 659 processor and features a Mali-T830 MP2 graphics processor. The device has a dual rear camera setup and includes a 16MP (RGB) + 20MP (Monochrome) sensors and f/1.8 aperture with dual tone LED flash. The autofocus of the extra sensor is simply there for gathering data for the wide-aperture mode and thus makes a lovely low light shot quite artificial.
After the launch, the Honor 7X smartphone will go on sale on December 7 on Amazon India.
Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio-jack, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and 4G VoLTE. Amazon Selected customers will get 150 power banks of 10,000 mAh battery capacity and 850 earphones with the Honor 7X.
The phone will be available in black and blue, and will land with Oreo on board, coated by Huawei's latest EMUI 8.0, which is one of the most feature-rich yet unobtrusive Android overlays this side of stock edition phones.
The launch event will reveal the India prices for Honor 7X that run on Android 7 Nougat. The 64GB variant on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 15,999. As the smartphone flaunts a full-screen design, the fingerprint sensor has been positioned at the rear of the device.
