The Portuguese did hint at springing a surprise with regards to including one of his injury worries in the squad, though he would not say who.
"He is like the team", said Mourinho, ahead of United's Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
"He is okay but he needs, now and again, specific work on the muscle that supports that knee that went through such a hard surgery", the boss told us.
"When the time for that hard work comes the fatigue comes". He plays tomorrow. Of course, he's a bit exhausted because it was a huge match last weekend and just two days to recover for CSKA.
"He was on this cycle of work, divided between the gym and the pitch". He'll be back to normal after CSKA'. "More importantly, the others deserve an opportunity to play".
However, on the subject of whether Shaw will start the match, Mourinho said at a press conference: "I'd have to think".
'I'm going to make a few but not too many changes, ' Mourinho added.
Last season's runners-up Juventus would have expected to have qualified before the final matchday when they were drawn in Group D alongside Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon and Olympiakos, but they head to Athens on Tuesday still needing a win to definitely progress.
"When we speak about Luke Shaw, he's working to have an opportunity and sooner or later that opportunity will arrive because he deserves that opportunity", said Mourinho.
"He is selected for tomorrow for sure.to start or be on the bench, I can not answer".
