Mother's boyfriend arrested in disappearance of Mariah Woods

Onslow County sheriff's deputies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have arrested 32-year-old Earl Kimrey, the boyfriend of the child's mother.

Earl Kimrey, 32, believed to be the boyfriend of the child's mother, was apprehended Friday, the Onslow County Sheriff's Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation announced early Saturday.

He is charged with concealing death, obstruction of justice and other charges. Her location is still unknown and the searches will now shift to a recovery process.

Kimery is being held in the Onslow County Detention Center in lieu of a $1,010,000 bond.

Anyone with information should contact the sheriff's office at 910-455-3113 or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273. He told investigators the girl woke up and he told her to go back to sleep. WITN reports Kimrey is the live-in boyfriend of Mariah Woods' mother.

Alex Woods said he can't believe someone could walk into the house and grab a 3-year-old out of her bed without her crying out or screaming.

Sheriff Hans Miller during a press conference Friday told reporters he had "a long conversation" with one of Mariah's family members and that "they are cooperating".

Mariah's mother is divorced from the girl's father, Alex Woods, who said that while his daughter is with her mother his weeks are "like hell, like a nightmare". Mariah has brown hair and blue eyes. Marines based at nearby Camp Lejeune are also assisting in the search. They said no information is too small or insignificant when looking for the missing child.
