The driver activated the child lock and forcing the woman to remain in the auto, while he masturbated.
The woman told IANS: "The cab driver misbehaved and tried to touch me".
The incident occurred at around 10.30 pm on Sunday night.
The victim was travelling from Indiranagar to BTM Layout.
"But I realised that the child lock was on".
She added that after few minutes of the incident she called up the Ola customer care service and lodged a complaint.
It was then she started banging the window following which the driver let her go.
Making things worse, her mobile phone was also out of charge and she could not call the police. "After much screaming, he reluctantly stopped the vehicle, and continued standing on the road until I took a picture of him and threatened to go to the cops". She then ran away from the spot till she reached the Ejipura traffic signal, about 500 metres away.
The woman, however, alleged that Ola did not inform her about the action it took against the driver. The driver, however, kept on approaching her.
"We regret the unfortunate experience the customer had during the ride". We have zero tolerance to such incidents and the driver has been suspended from the platform as an immediate action, upon receiving the complaint.
"As soon as I managed to get home on Sunday night, I tried to lodge a complaint with Ola. Safety of customers is our priority and we will continue to extend our full support to this investigation against the said driver", Ola Spokesperson said.
An Ola representative confirmed that after the incident was brought to their attention, and after they spoke to the woman concerned, they temporarily suspended Reddy.
