The video made it a point to compare the new map to the default map of Erangel, as the desert isn't only a much different environment, but the map looks to play much differently as well.

Yesterday, PUBG Corp gave us our first look at Miramar, a new map coming to the extremely popular game, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). Thankfully, the game's development team over at PUBG Corporation have acknowledged the need for variety and today's Game Awards event was the ideal time to display what new map Miramar has to offer. It's also probably really hot and sweaty. This is the first time the new map was seen in action, and it's a huge moment for the millions playing the game.

We are excited beyond words that we can finally share the name of our new desert map and tell you a little bit about some of the places you can visit.

If you're eager to play, you won't have to wait long. When the next major Test Server update launches, sometime after December 7th, the new desert map and the R45 will be included, along with vaulting, other tweaks, and new vehicles. And having secured an exclusivity deal with the game's developer, Bluehole, Microsoft is pushing the game hard for its Xbox One debut. The "PUBG Accessory Pack" will be available two days after the preview launch on December 14 and the PUBG Tracksuit pack will be available December 21, both for $4.99.
