Buffalo Bills' quarterback Tyrod Taylor suffered an injury on the very first play of the team's Week 13 contest with the New England Patriots.

Buffalo trailed New England 23-3 when its starting signal caller headed to the locker room; hopes of a comeback were slim even with him under center.

Taylor replaced Peterman in the second half of that game. He had just 65 passing yards and an interception in the game to go with 32 rushing yards before leaving the game. At 6-6, the Bills have fallen behind the and must play the Patriots again, on December 24, as they try to find a path to an AFC wild card.

Taylor was carted off of the field with a knee injury. That outing against the Los Angeles Chargers could not have gone any worse, with almost as many completions to Chargers' defenders (five) as his own receivers (six) in one half of football. Then in the third quarter it looked like he got rolled up on and messed up his knee pretty good. He also recorded his first National Football League sack in the previous game against the Miami Dolphins.
