Ubisoft Giving Out Free PC Copies of Assassin's Creed IV

Assassin's Creed Origins Next Update To Introduce New Difficulty, Enemy Scaling, Horde Mode And More

Assassin's Creed: Origins update brings new difficulty and more

Perhaps the most anticipated update is a new quest that will allow you to ride around Egypt in a Chocobo-inspired horse, from the popular Final Fantasy franchise. There is no word, however, about what else is changed.

This patch also brings with it a new Nightmare difficulty mode, an enemy level-scaling option for the entire game, and a brand-new, gladiator-based Horde Mode. This is an optional feature, so you don't have to have it turned on.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft had discontinued online multiplayer servers for the game since December 15, 2015, but a group of players have created a new service that works with the game client.

In Trials of the Gods, Sekhmet, the warrior goddess with a cat head will round out the trilogy of Gods - after Anubis and Sobek - ready to face down Bayek. "Are you ready to face the fiercest hunter known to the ancient Egyptians?"

Okay, I realize you might be entirely keen on adding Ubisoft's long-maligned digital distribution service to your regular rotation of game clients, but at least hear 'em out.

Then on December 26, Ubisoft will release the "Wacky" item pack, which comes with a mount and four weapons. We'll circle back with more details when they become available.
