Following a brief teaser during an National Football League playoffs commercial last weekend, Carrie Underwood has debuted a new anthemic jam, "The Champion", featuring rap veteran Ludacris.

Underwood co-wrote the song with Brett James, Chris DeStefano, and Ludacris.

A song recorded specifically for the Super Bowl and NBC's Winter Olympics coverage, The Champion features vocals from country singer Carrie Underwood and a rap verse from hip hop artist Ludacris.

"When we were writing "The Champion", our main focus was to celebrate athletes at the top of their game, but we also wanted the song to resonate with people in their everyday lives", Underwood says in a press release. "There's a champion in every single one of us", she said, motivating and inspiring every one of her fans, followers, and friends.

Adding to the pop sound is rapper Ludacris, who is featured on the track. Additionally, NBC will be using "The Champion" during its coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

February is going to be one of the biggest months in the history of NBC Sports, and an unlikely music duo apparently will set the soundtrack for the network's coverage of the two biggest sporting events of the year.
