Antonio Conte has insisted that Eden Hazard is "very happy" at Chelsea FC as he played down speculation about the Belgian's long-term future.

Twitter was on fire on Thursday as a few football journalists and transfer accounts launched sensational breaking news suggesting that Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard had agreed personal terms with Real Madrid and is likely to move to Spain by the end of the season.

"Yes. I think Thibaut first. Then I will sign", Hazard told.

Hazard has made 18 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season since returning to action in September from a broken ankle sustained on Belgium duty in June, registering six goals and two assists.

The recently turned 27-year-old was heavily linked towards a move to Real Madrid with the winger's father confirming the same.

17 goals last season from Hazard helped Chelsea to another Premier League title, but he has struggled to reproduce that form at times this season.

Hazard and Courtois had two years and one year remaining on their existing deals, and both will expect to receive handsome salary hikes due to committing their futures to the club. Los Blancos have, thus, been in search of a top shot stopper, with Courtois one of their targets.

Chelsea player Eden Hazard has claimed he wants to stay at Chelsea, and will be putting pen to paper on a new deal with the club soon. While Kepa Arrizabalaga is heavily rumoured to be on his way to Santiago Bernabeu, it remains to be seen where the attacking recruitment comes from. After the game, he was asked by a Mirror journalist about the rife rumours of his alleged move to Real and whether he will sign a fresh deal at Chelsea.
