The British-born R&B singer wrote, "Oh I forgot, that's right.you'd heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed [sic] actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into".
Fifty-four-year-old Brit singer Seal took to Instagram to throw about a forest's worth of shade towards the sixty-three-year-old media mogul. And another that showed Weinstein approaching a cowering Rita Ora sitting beside Winfrey with the words: "But suddenly they all think you are the solution".
Seal isn't the only public figure who doesn't think Winfrey would make a great president.
Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct by over 30 women since the New York Times' exposé came out last October.
"Oprah has not spoken to Harvey Weinstein directly".
As was previously reported, Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson told reporters that Weinstein and his company Miramax told him that he shouldn't work with Mira Sorvino or Ashley Judd because "they were a nightmare to work with". "There are no plans for an interview at this time", the spokesperson told TMZ.
On 7 January 2018, Oprah Winfrey was honored with the Cecil B. deMille Award at the Golden Globes and used the opportunity to deliver a speech about women's empowerment, the "Me Too" movement, and changes on the horizon.
While many in Hollywood and beyond applauded Winfrey's speech at the Golden Globes this past Sunday, the "Fly Like an Eagle" singer joined the chorus of those branding her a hypocrite over the situation with Harvey Weinstein.
Nearly immediately after her speech, fans took to social media calling for the 63-year-old billionaire to make a run for president in 2020.
